The confirmation of e-Visa issuance can be applied for by a foreigner under the categories below, or the inviting person on behalf of the applicant.

- Professor (E-1), Foreign Language Instructor(E-2), Researcher (E-3), Technical Instructor/Technician Transfer (E-4), Professional Employment (E-5), Foreign National of Special Ability (E-7) under category 1 or 2 of the standard classification of occupations (National Statistical Office announcement 2007-3), Dependent Family(F-3)
- Student (D-2) or Korean Language Trainee (D-4-1)
- Non-professional (E-9), Maritime Crew (E-10)
- Short/Long-Term Medical Tourist (C-3-3, G-1-10)
- Short-term visit on invitation from a preferential company (C-3-6)

Luna said, You have to submit the required documents without any being omitted. Your application will be disapproved if the required documents are missing or incomplete. But depending on the type of visa or under special circumstances where applicant is deemed unable to submit the documents, he/she can request the exemption of a document’s submission. The name of the document for exemption and reason for the request of exemption should be written on the annexed form, along with your full name, date of birth, passport number, and signature. The evaluation process for the submission of documents with the annexed form for exemption request will take longer than usual.

Luna said, There are two ways a foreigner can obtain a working visa. First, one can apply for a working visa at an overseas Korean mission with required documents. Second, for those who need a 'Certificate for Confirmation of Visa Issuance', the employer in the Republic of Korea will have to apply for the certificate at the Korea Immigration Service and send it to the applicant who can then apply for and obtain a working visa at an overseas Korean mission.
